In the centre of Bratislava a new history is being written from 18th January 2000 for the formerly famous and renowned restaurant Alžbetka. Gracefull and proud building, that Alžbetka is today, arose early as a nobel residence placed in one of the oldest subburbs of Bratislava, in the region of Schöndorf street and the cereal market. City map from the year 1765(Marquart) shows the ground-plane of this building being a nobel residence, clenched by the Upper landstreet and Lower landstreet, today known as Radlinského and Mickiewiczova streets. The nobel residence formed a V-shape on the ground-plane with the main facade facing the Kollár square- formar cereal market - situated on the plane in front of the Schöndorf gate, which was mention as early as in the year 1717. Restaurant Alžbetka became well-known in the year 1933 and it was a place which Bratislavas gourmets, wine and great amusement lovers looked for.
Today, Alžbetka in its white-pink dress gracefully rules at the edge of the busy Obchodná street and opens her hospital arms to everyone who enjoys good meals, drinks and a pleasant atmosphere in airconditioned surrounding, with affordable prices.
